Privacy and Editorial Standards
How China US VC uses primary sources, handles corrections, and keeps the learning-notes worksheet local to your browser.
Updated:
Sources and accuracy
The guides link directly to SEC and Investor.gov primary material where relevant. Those links provide legal and investor-education context; they do not mean the SEC reviewed or endorsed this publication. We aim to distinguish a rule, an example, and an assumption. Fictional scenarios and calculations are labeled and include their assumptions. A linked source may change after this page was prepared, so readers should check the source page and its date.
Corrections
Identified errors and broken links should be corrected transparently, with the affected page and passage made clear. An updated date alone does not mean that an outside authority reviewed the page. No claim is made that every statement has been independently verified by a lawyer, accountant, or regulator.
Privacy and the notes tool
The learning-notes worksheet has no account or email gate. Text entered there is saved in this browser’s local storage on this device so it can remain when you change language or return. The site does not send note text, form values, or answers to its server or to analytics. Browser storage is not a secure records system: someone with access to this device or browser profile may be able to view it. Clearing browser data or using a different browser or device can remove or separate those notes. Download and print actions run in your browser.
Optional analytics and your choices
On the production hosts chinausvc.com and www.chinausvc.com, one Umami Cloud script loads only when Do Not Track is off and you have not used the visible footer opt-out. Umami automatically sends one pageview per page load; there is no extra manual pageview. The page URL keeps its language path and only public utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign values that match letters, numbers, underscores, or hyphens and are no longer than 80 characters. All other query parameters and URL fragments are removed from page and referrer payloads. A normal external HTTP(S) referrer keeps its origin and path, without query or fragment. Visits marked qa, test, preview, or debug, Replit previews, and other hostnames are excluded. The only custom events are opening the worked example, downloading the notes as TXT, and printing or saving them as PDF; each contains only the page locale and a fixed resource label. No note text, entered answer, or other worksheet data is sent. Umami receives standard page context such as hostname, browser language, page title, referrer, and screen size. The footer control stores an opt-out in this browser and blocks subsequent analytics requests. A request already started or pageview already sent cannot be recalled; clearing browser storage resets the choice. Umami Cloud is an external service, and its own privacy terms apply to requests it receives.
No personal-data submission
Do not enter sensitive personal, financial-account, health, or identity information into a learning worksheet. The publication does not need that information. It does not use this worksheet to evaluate eligibility, verify answers, approve a person, or assign an investment status. Note text, form values, and answers are not included in the analytics requests described above.
Educational boundaries
This publication is educational only. It does not provide personalized investment, legal, or tax advice, an offer or recommendation to buy or sell a security, an eligibility determination, a solicitation, or a business-promotion call to action. Individual facts and documents can change the analysis; readers who need advice should consult appropriately qualified professionals.
